How many more students have to suffer?
We are the most tested generation in history. Every year, students spend countless hours preparing for and stressing out about standardized testing, to the point in which it matters more about the grade rather than knowledge being acquired. All this time, money, and energy should rather be applied to a cause that will better our students in the long run. Not only is this testing not an accurate measure of skills and knowledge attained in the classroom, but it also deprives kids the opportunities to be creative and express their interest in school, as everyone must take the exact same test.

What can you do about it?
There are number of ways in which you can participate in putting a stop to standardized testing. First, you can help by simply working to spread awareness about the issue. You could even speak with your schools' student counsel to help spread the news to students throughout your school. Encouraging parents to attend school board meetings or even attending one yourself to present the matter to school board officials and members could be very beneficial, as well. Most importantly, you should sign the petition below in order to further stand up against these tests, and be sure to inspire others to do the same.
